Terms and Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before registering for SYNCODES 2026.

By registering for SYNCODES 2026, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms ensure the quality, fairness, and sustainability of our event.

1. No Refund Policy

All registrations and payments are final. We do not offer refunds under any circumstances. Once the registration fee (₹500) is paid, it cannot be returned, transferred, or exchanged, regardless of your attendance, completion of the program, or any personal emergencies.

2. Prize Pool Structure & Proportional Scaling

The prize pool for SYNCODES 2026 is dynamic and directly dependent on the total number of valid registrations. To ensure the sustainability and operational feasibility of the event, the prize money will scale proportionally based on participant volume:

  • Optimal Participation (~20+ Registrations): The full prize pool will be active.
  • Moderate Participation (< 20 Registrations): The prize pool will be reduced proportionally.
  • Low Participation (< 10 Registrations): The total prize money will be roughly halved to ensure the event remains viable. The revised prize distribution will be approximately: First place: ₹2,000, Second place: ₹1,000, Third place: ₹500.
  • Minimal Participation (< 5 Registrations): Prize amounts will decrease exponentially based on the exact number of entries.
Note: This dynamic structure is designed to guarantee the event operates with a sustainable model regardless of the scale of participation.

3. Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to maintain professionalism. Any form of plagiarism, direct copying of public repositories without substantial modification, or cheating will lead to immediate disqualification without warning or refund. You are expected to build original solutions or show deep understanding and significant modification of any inspired works.

4. Event Modifications

The organizers reserve the right to modify the schedule, format, judging criteria, or rules of the event if deemed necessary. Any changes will be communicated to the participants via their registered contact details.

5. Final Decision

All decisions made by the SYNCODES 2026 organizers and judges regarding evaluations, disqualifications, prize distribution, and event management are final and binding. No correspondence or appeals will be entertained regarding these decisions.
